This is a book that helps. It explains various breathing and meditation techniques. It offers valuable instructions for the daily search for balance and harmony, drawing on world history—precious data that are part of the author’s cultural background and practice. She has always studied the Eastern world in all its spiritual, philosophical, and linguistic aspects. The author tells her story, and through her, we learn about her formidable grandmother, her last and unforgettable farewell, the Buddhist monastery in a Japanese village where she slept blissfully during the earthquake, the magic of Benares, the sacred center of India. And every time she sparingly talks about herself, she leaves us a lesson. This is a book to make peace with ourselves. To shed light on the sometimes dark path we all must travel daily.
